What this video does, is shout louder than ever that BBs have become too dominant and that they should stop nerfing BB counters every other patch and/or buffing AA. So even if they were completely nerfed into the ground (which horrifyingly some people think they already are) they would still be the most played class by a country mile. Problem is BBs are what most people know, famous ships people who aren't ship history nerds have actually heard of plus they're the biggest and baddest and what everyone in their mind sees as iconic and awesome about naval combat. Fusou teaches people to a certain extent good gameplay (ie don't show full broadside or you get citadeled, try to avoid air attacks etc) while Bayern does not to that extent.Īlso I fully expect that OP pos Orion to enter this list in 2018 unless they serious give her the nerfs she deserves. Bayern is hard to citadel, has great AA for her tier, and the only really significant weakness is her dispersion which also makes skillful aiming less important (ie normalises diferences between good and bad players to a certain degree). Fusou is easily punished for bad play, while Bayern is not. For example while I'd say Fuso is definitly a better ship than Bayern in the hands of a decent player, Bayern places higher on this list because A: wehraboos, and B: it is easier to play. The current dumbed down BB meta not only hurts cruiser gameplay, but currently it (at least feels like it) is lowering the standard of play to new levels of idiocy and makes the overall experience worse.Ī perfect example of this is the popularity of German BBs. buff the counters, like a certain powercreeped DD line, and make the BBs themselves more vulnerable by enlarging some citadels and maybe even decreasing some AA) Seriously I hope WG will finally consider that they may have made BBs far too forgiving and that they will actually take steps to adress this.
